Straw and bead necklaces

Yesterday, I saw this craft in the archives of Meg Duerksen’s blog. If you’ve never read her blog, then you are missing out.

To make their necklaces they used straws (cut into 1 inch pieces), beads, and twine. I taped the ends of their pieces of twine so that it wouldn’t fray when they were stringing the straws and beads.

My girls really liked this craft. They sat quietly and worked on their necklaces. Unusual for these two. Normally by the end of a craft they are fighting about everything. I was proud of them.

Sweet girls. 🙂

What new things have you crafted lately?
