My name is Ana. My husband’s name is Jeff and we have three beautiful children…..Emily, Elizabeth & Jacob.

Jeff and I wed on August 24, 2004. Our marriage has had its fair share of ups and downs, but we are more stubborn in love now than we’ve ever been and can’t imagine going through life without each other. 🙂 Our children are crazy and keep me on my toes all day long, but I really love being with them and am so thankful that Jeff has a job that allows me to spend my days with them.

We home school. I love it! I get a kick out of seeing my kids learn something new. Ever since our first child was born, I knew that I wanted to home school. When the time came to ‘officially’ home school-you know, register & keep records-I was nervous. I wondered if I could actually do it and if it really was the right thing. I am so glad that I trusted my instincts instead of giving into my fears. If you have any questions about homeschooling, feel free to ask. It’s so much easier than you think!

We recently moved to northern Idaho from Tampa, Fl. What brought us here was the natural beauty of this place. We took a 3 week road trip from Fl to Idaho and back, in April/May of 2010 and fell in love. Jeff and I had talked for years about buying property and building our dream home. We finally said, “Let’s do it” and set out finding a place to call home. We thought about building in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Missouri, Colorado, Wyoming, or Montana. After researching the different pros and cons, we came across Idaho. I checked out their homeschooling laws and Jeff-along with a close family friend-checked out everything else, and BAM! we knew this was the place for us. 🙂 After our road trip confirmed it, we made plans to move in March or April of 2011. The opportunity to move came sooner than we expected. My brother-in-law & his wife showed interest in our home and since the lease on their place expired on December 1st it made more sense for all involved if we moved sooner. They didn’t rush us and offered to stay in their townhome until spring, but it just felt right to move as soon as we could, so we said “It’s yours!” We moved out on November 13th and into a townhouse in Idaho on November 17th. We purchased our dream property on December 27th. Once the ground thaws out, and we can agree on a floor plan, we will start building our home.

This is a very exciting chapter in our lives. One that I hope brings us closer to God and to each other. Only time will tell!
